Open Position: Quality Assurance Specialist

We are the only manufacturer of hot and cold therapy products with wholly-owned manufacturing facilities in both North America and Asia.
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at our Mississauga, ON manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will assist in the develpoment of a quality management system (QMS) that meets Health Canada and US FDA requirements. Specific tasks include: maintaining digitial QMS documents and records in a centralized system; handling on-site document electronically, archiving, and records retention; reviewing/verifying quality and production records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to Good Documentation Practices; participating in FDA, Health Canada inspections, ISO Certification and surveillance, and customer and internal audits; identification of non-conformities and planned deviation processes to oversee the execution of CAPA commitments; assisting in validation activities for new and existing products, process, and equipment and identify statistically-based sampling/testing plans for inspections and validations; performing incoming raw material, and packaging material inspection and release; assisting in laboratory testing including the review of test worksheets and setups.
The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in science or equivalent. Experience in Quality Assurance in the Pharmaceutical/medical device industry is an asset. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required. Strong computer and organizational skills; working knowledge of MS Office are essential. The understanding of digital record storage principles and techniques is needed as is the ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills when problem solving.
