For pack outs requiring extremely low temperature stability during shipment and storage, the large -21º C PCM is the ideal alternative to standard, flexible gel packs. With it’s rigid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic container and a dense gel, it has been engineered to maintain shape and precise temperatures for longer periods than other water-based PCMs.
How PCMs work: The TempAid Large PCM product changes phase at -21 C to provide optimal thermal protection for products needing to be kept at that temperature. When the adjacent temperature dips below the phase change temperature, the gel will solidify and release its stored energy. If the surrounding temperature goes above the phase change temperature, it will liquefy and absorb excess energy.
The TempAid PCM is capable of being cleaned and refrozen hundreds of times for repeated use. It can also be recycled at the end of it’s useful life. Good for cost-optimizatin and the environment.
All PCMs are produced, tested, and validated at Class 1 medical device facility registered with the FDA in the United States and Health Canada.
