As a durable alternative to standard, flexible gel packs, the small 0º C hard bottle gel has a rigid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic container with a dense temperature validated gel that is engineered to maintain shape and precise temperatures for longer periods.
The product changes phase at the specified temperature to provide optimal thermal protection. When the adjacent temperature dips below the phase change temperature, the gel will solidify and release its stored energy. If the surrounding temperature goes above the phase change temperature, it will liquefy and absorb the excess energy.
The product is capable of being cleaned and refrozen for repeated use.
All PCMs and gels are produced, tested, and validated at Class 1 medical device facility registered with the FDA in the United States and Health Canada.
