The large 0º C hard bottle gel is a durable alternative to standard, flexible gel packs. They are built with a rigid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic container that has a dense gel that is engineered and tested to maintain shape at precise temperatures for longer periods than water or other refrigerant materials.
The gel changes phase at specified temperatures to provide optimal thermal protection. When the adjacent temperature drops below the phase change temperature, the gel will solidify and release stored energy. If the surrounding temperature increases beyond the phase change temperature, it will liquefy and absorb the excess energy.
The product can be cleaned and refrozen for repeated use.
All refrigerants are manufactured, tested, and validated at Class 1 medical device facility registered with the FDA in the United States and Health Canada.
